Long Walk, another major event at the festival held on July 1,attracted over 10,000 outdoor enthusiasts from over 20 countries.The participants started off in six groups. One group had over 600 international participants from Switzerland, Australia, South Africa,Zimbabwe, Indonesia, Morocco, Pakistan, Turkey, Russia, Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Yemen and Jordan. Li Dawu, an Australian whose name in English isn’t available,was one of the 600 international participants. He works at an outdoor sports wares and equipment business in Hangzhou. He is a regular participant of local outdoor activities. He and his friends chose the 25-km category to see the city. The distance covered the whole length of the river within the city’s territory. “Hangzhou is a city where life thrives. I can sense its growth,”commented Li Dawu. “Since working in the city, I feel stronger and my desire for workout grows stronger.”
